SAN FRANCISCO, C.A. October 16, 2023 – We are excited to announce that Kulika Weizman has been promoted to General Partner at Creative Ventures.
As Principal for the past 2.5 years, Weizman has continued to hone her expert judgment and ability to source and lead deals while providing hands-on support to our founders. She has also been a frequent headline speaker at conferences like SynBioBeta and a reviewer for the National Science Foundation.
Weizman has been an invaluable part of the investment team at Creative since joining the firm in 2018. “She has shown a phenomenal aptitude for investing,” says fellow GP Alex Luce. “Kulika has led a number of deals at the firm, working closely and intentionally with our portfolio founders. She brings an incredible perspective with her SynBio Ph.D. background, as well as her own endeavors founding a venture-backed startup.”

ABOUT KULIKA WEIZMAN: Kulika joined Creative Ventures in 2018 with a vision of leveraging her technical and entrepreneurial background in the investment world. Prior to that, she went through the prestigious IndieBio accelerator program and was the CEO of a synthetic biology company she co-founded and raised capital for upon completing her Ph.D. in Microbiology at UC Berkeley.
